Every year brings new adventures to the Hydrus family, and 2025 delivered more joy, progress, and community connection than ever before. We saw our boards travel across oceans, mountain lakes, quiet ponds, and rushing rivers. We heard from first-time paddlers and seasoned explorers. We watched families grow stronger through time on the water. We continued to refine our craft and build the most durable and best-performing paddleboards possible.

Most of all, we felt grateful. Every photo you shared and every story you sent reminded us why we do what we do. Hydrus is built on care, innovation, and a deep belief that the right gear can help people live a healthier and more adventurous life. Thank you for being part of this year with us.

Celebrating our Hydrus community

One of the biggest highlights of the year was watching the Hydrus family grow. Your enthusiasm filled our inboxes and social media feeds. We received photos from coastlines, alpine lakes, backyard ponds, and international trips. The pride and excitement you bring to your paddling journey keeps us inspired to push forward and continue improving everything we make.

The Hydrus community has always been special. You welcome newcomers, support each other, and share a passion for getting outside. We saw countless examples of people inviting friends to try their first paddle, hosting small lake meetups, and planning group paddle trips from Idaho to Florida to Hawaii. It felt like a year full of connection.

Sunrise and sunset paddles

There is something special about paddling when the water feels still and the sky shifts through soft colors. Many of you shared quiet morning paddles and glowing evening sessions on your JoyRide, Paradise, or AXIS boards.

Dog-friendly adventures

This was a huge year for dogs on paddleboards. We saw pups lounging on the Paradise X, riding confidently on the JoyRide XL, and relaxing between bungees during mountain lake trips. These photos always make us smile.

Mountain lakes

Crystal-clear water and snow-capped peaks created stunning backdrops. The alpine lake photos were breathtaking and showed how easily Hydrus inflatables travel into the mountains.

Coastal touring and long-mileage paddles

Many of you reached new distance goals this year. Touring sessions around the PNW and week-long camping trips down rivers appeared often. The Paradise and Paradise X proved to be popular long-mileage boards.

AXIS whitewater runs

The AXIS continues to shine in moving water. We received clips and photos of river surfing, playful rapids, and fast downstream runs. The durability of Armalight Air was clear in every one of these moments.

Our amazing ambassadors

Our ambassadors are an important part of the Hydrus family. They help educate new paddlers, set a positive example, and show what is possible with the right equipment and a supportive community. This year, our ambassadors led group paddles, created inspiring content, helped answer questions from beginners, and supported local events.

We saw more involvement this year, with group paddles growing and more collaborations forming with adventure communities across the country. Our ambassadors played an important role in teaching safety, encouraging people to explore new waterways, and helping new paddlers feel confident the moment they stepped onto a board.

Their care for others and genuine love of Hydrus boards shines through everything they do. We appreciate each and every one of you.

Where the Hydrus family paddled in 2025

One of our favorite parts of the year was seeing the wide range of places Hydrus boards appeared. Your adventures took our gear across lakes, coastlines, rivers, mountain ranges, and even international waters. Here are just a few of the spots that showed up again and again.

Idaho lakes and ponds

Quinns Pond, Payette Lake, Lake Cascade, and Lucky Peak were full of JoyRides, Paradises, and AXIS boards. Idaho will always be home for Hydrus, and seeing our boards on local water never loses its meaning.

Seattle and the Pacific Northwest

We saw a strong wave of Hydrus paddlers around Seattle and the surrounding region. Many of you explored Lake Union, Lake Washington, the Puget Sound, and high alpine lakes. The mix of calm mornings, open water, and shifting weather showed how versatile Hydrus boards can be. Your Washington photos stood out in a big way this year.

Colorado mountain lakes

Crystal-clear alpine water, rugged peaks, and peaceful mornings made these photos unforgettable. The JoyRide XL was especially popular for mountain lake paddles, often paired with happy dogs along for the ride.

Hawaii and Costa Rica

Many travelers packed their inflatables and took advantage of how easy Hydrus boards are to fly with. These warm-water trips brought in some of the most joyful images of the year.

Canada

We welcomed more Canadian paddlers than ever this year. British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario were common locations in your messages and photos. Glacier-fed lakes and forest-lined shorelines created stunning backdrops, and it was great to see Hydrus inflatables traveling easily across provinces and into remote mountain areas.

United Kingdom

Hydrus also made a growing appearance across the UK. Many paddlers chose the AXIS for river adventures and shared videos of fast-moving water, quiet canals, and scenic countryside routes. The UK community brought a fun and energetic spirit to the Hydrus family, and we loved every clip you sent.

Florida springs and coastal areas

Warm water, vibrant wildlife, and calm bays made Florida another standout location. The Paradise and JoyRide were popular choices here because they handle long distances and mixed water conditions with ease.

Seeing Hydrus boards reach this many places reminds us why we focus so much on quality, durability, and versatility. Your adventures show us that our boards need to handle anything and go anywhere, and we are grateful you chose to take us along.

Our biggest Hydrus milestones of 2025

This year brought meaningful growth and exciting progress for our entire team. The support from our community reached new levels, and we felt that momentum every single month.

2025 was our biggest year yet. We sold out of our summer batch in only six weeks, and presales have stayed strong ever since. This is also the first year we will have a batch ready in time for Christmas. We are excited to see Hydrus gear wrapped for loved ones and sitting under Christmas trees all across the country.

Advances in Armalight and Armalight Air

We continued to improve our materials and construction techniques. Durability and performance stayed at the center of everything we built.

Product refinements based on customer feedback

Your input guided several improvements this year. We focused on refining materials, strengthening construction details, and creating new gear that supports real paddlers. The biggest highlight was the release of our Ruckus Flyweight SUP Paddle, designed for speed, efficiency, and long-distance performance. Your feedback helped shape this paddle and we are proud of how well it has been received.

Growing review counts and community trust

We remained one of the highest-reviewed paddleboard companies in the world. Your feedback helps new paddlers feel confident choosing Hydrus and keeps our small company strong.
