This policy exists for paddlers who know they want a Hydrus board but aren't sure which one. Order the one you think is yours. Paddle it for up to 30 days. If you got it wrong, swap it. We'll get you on the right board.
Exchange
Exchange your Hydrus board for any other Hydrus board within 30 days of delivery. No restocking fee. We'll handle the shipping.
A paddler deciding between JoyRide and JoyRide XL shouldn't have to research for another month to feel confident buying. The exchange is the answer. Order. Paddle. Swap if it's wrong.
We just need the board back in reasonable trial-use condition with all the included gear. If your board comes back showing more wear than that, we'll let you know what condition fee applies before we process anything. Fair to you, fair to us.
Paddled regularly during the trial. Normal sessions, normal handling, rinsed off after use. Original packaging and included gear present. No impact damage, no UV damage from improper storage, no commercial use.
Normal wear from a real 30-day on-water trial is expected. If your board comes back with wear beyond reasonable trial use, we'll communicate any condition fee before processing.
Return
If a Hydrus board isn't right for you after the trial, you can return it for a refund within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping is on you. We'll help with the label. A 20% restocking fee covers our cost to process and remarket the board.
Reasonable trial-use condition still applies on returns. Same condition standard as exchanges.
Why Exchange Is the Heart of It
Most paddleboard brands treat returns as a defensive policy. Minimize returns, restocking fees on every transaction, customer pays shipping. The policy limits what the brand absorbs.
We built ours around the exchange instead. A paddler 80% sure about which board is theirs shouldn't have to do another month of research to close the last 20%. The exchange removes the cost of guessing wrong. Get the board. Paddle it. If it's not the one, we'll get you the one.
