Ruckus Flyweight Carbon SUP Paddle
Ruckus Flyweight is the paddler-grade Hydrus paddle. 13.9 oz of 30T pre-preg carbon, custom-cut to your length, with a double-concave blade that grips the water through the entire stroke. Built for paddlers who treat the paddle as personal gear, not shared family equipment.
Where it sits in the lineup: Tough Blade is the household paddle (adjustable, durable, 26 oz). Ruckus is the performance paddle (one-piece, lightweight, dialed to your length). If you race, tour long distances, or just want every stroke to feel like an extension of your arm rather than swinging a stick, Ruckus.
The blade profile most paddles use is the cheapest one to mold. We tested 14 alternatives. The one that pulls cleanest is the one in your paddle now.
Two blade sizes. Medium 84 sq in for higher cadence and smaller paddlers. Large 90 sq in for bigger drive per stroke and stronger paddlers. The shaft is the same; only the blade differs.
Each Ruckus is custom-cut to your length when you order. We build the next batch as orders come in. At checkout, leave a note with your desired length (tip of blade to top of handle), or write 'Need help' and we will dial it in. The shaft-to-handle bond is heat-activated thermoplastic, so you can re-soften and re-cut later if your preferences change.
