Hydrus Inflatable Paddle Boards

Built by Paddlers. Perfected by Obsession.

“We’ve poured everything we’ve learned over a decade of hard river paddling, surf sessions, racing, and touring miles into these boards. If it can survive our abuse, it can survive yours.”
Jason Zawadzki, Founder, Hydrus Board Tech

Hydrus inflatable paddle boards aren’t mass-produced gimmicks. They’re the real deal—boards born from Idaho rivers, shaped by experience, and tested by obsessive paddlers who refuse to settle.
Every weld, layer, and detail exists for one reason: performance that lasts.

Why Hydrus iSUPs Are Different

1. Engineered to Outperform

We build with Armalight Air™ Mulit-layer fusion composite reinforced PVC, heat-welded seams, and reinforced rails.
This construction delivers true hard-board rigidity while staying portable. Most inflatables flex too much—ours don’t.

“They achieve very impressive rigidity … track better than other inflatables … won’t ‘pop’ … very durable.” — Reddit user, r/SUP

Each board is pressure-tested up to 31 PSI before it leaves the factory. That’s how we can back it with a Lifetime Warranty. -If we make a mistake during construction or material choice, we have got your back!

2. Built to Last

Cheap boards delaminate or split at the seams within a few seasons.
Hydrus boards are welded, with multiple layers of reinforcement. That’s decades of durability—without extra weight.

Alot of brands fake weld or "chemical weld" -which is a misleading way of saying glue.

“Hydrus paddleboards came out on top for craftsmanship and quality. The best choice for paddlers who want durability!” — Doug P., Verified Hydrus Owner

3. Real-World Tested

Our team paddles everything—flatwater, whitewater, surf, distance, race.
We design for extremes because that’s how we ride.

“The Hydrus Axis 98 is our top recommendation … stepping onto it is like stepping onto a hard board—no perceptible flex.” — InflatableBoarder.com
“The Hydrus Joyride XL is so stable you’re hard-pressed to know you’re even afloat.” — SUP Board Guide

4. Designed by Paddlers, Not Marketers

“Brothers and Hydrus founders Jason and Nick Zawadzki have been making whitewater SUPs since they started shaping their own boards over a decade ago.” — InflatableBoarder.com

That legacy shows in every curve and contour. From beginner-friendly cruisers to elite-level race boards, the DNA is the same: fast, stable, indestructible.

Use & Care Tips

Inflate slowly to your target PSI (12–15 PSI typical). Heat expands air—bleed a little if left in sun.
Rinse with fresh water after salt or river use.
Dry completely before rolling up.
Store cool, shaded, and loosely rolled or flat.
Transport using padded straps or the Mothership bag.

“It takes me about 5–10 minutes … if your board isn’t fully inflated, it’ll feel floppy and unstable.” — Reddit paddler

FAQs

The lifespan depends on quality, usage frequency, and care. High-quality inflatable paddle boards, like those from Hydrus, can last over 10 years with proper maintenance. Hydrus boards are built with dual-layer fusion PVC and reinforced seams, ensuring they outlast standard boards.

Inflating a Hydrus SUP is easy. Unroll the board, attach a manual or electric pump, and inflate to the recommended pressure (12-15 PSI). For fast and convenient inflation, use a high-quality electric pump.

SUP electric pump

Inflation time varies. With a manual pump, it takes around 10-15 minutes. Using an electric pump reduces this to about 5-10 minutes, allowing you to get on the water faster.

Pros: Portability, stability, affordability, and ease of storage make inflatable paddle boards an excellent choice for beginners and families. Their lightweight design allows for easy transportation.
Cons: Slightly less rigid than hard boards, though Hydrus minimizes this difference with Armalight Air™ technology. Advanced maneuvers may require more skill due to the inherent flexibility of inflatables.

Learn more about hard paddle boards if rigidity is a top priority.
