Hydrus Board Tech – Shipping, Returns & Warranty Policy

We don’t just make boards—we build long-term relationships. At Hydrus, our policies are designed around real-world use, real riders, and real support. No gimmicks, no corporate runaround—just clear, honest care for our gear and the people who ride it.

🔁 30‑Day Return & Exchange Policy

We want you to be completely stoked with your Hydrus gear! If you’re not satisfied, you can return or exchange eligible items within 30 days of delivery.

✅ Returns

You may return items for a refund of the purchase price (excluding original shipping) when:

  • The item is in like-new condition, free from excessive wear or damage.

  • All original packaging, tags and accessories are included.

  • You’re willing to cover return shipping.

    • For U.S. customers, we’ll supply a prepaid label for items covered by our warranty.

  • A restocking fee of 5–15 % may apply for used items or missing components; we’ll let you know the exact amount before processing.

🔄 Exchanges

Need a different model? Exchanges are welcome within 30 days:

  • No restocking fee if the returned item is in like-new condition.

  • You cover return shipping and any difference in price.

🛡️ Limited Lifetime Warranty – Boards

Hydrus boards are engineered for performance and built to last. All inflatable and hard boards (purchased in 2021 or later) are backed by a limited lifetime warranty for as long as the original owner owns the board. This warranty is non‑transferable.

✅ What’s Covered

  • Manufacturing or material defects.

  • Seam separation or failure under normal use.

  • Structural issues unrelated to impact or misuse.

🚫 What’s Not Covered

  • Impact damage (drops, dragging, collisions, etc.).

  • Normal wear and tear (scratches, fading, scuffs).

  • Damage from UV exposure or improper storage.

  • Commercial use (rentals, tours, lessons).

  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs.

  • Boards purchased second-hand or through unauthorized sellers.

🧰 Limited Warranty – Accessories

All Hydrus accessories are covered against manufacturing defects for the original purchaser:

Paddles 1 year from purchase
Bags & Backpacks 1 year from purchase
Electric Pumps 60 days (manufacturing defects only)
Leashes 60 days (manufacturing defects only)

Accessories used commercially are not covered under this warranty.

🔧 Hydrus Extended Care – After 3 Years

We know our boards are built to last—but life happens, especially after years of use. Our Extended Care Program is a goodwill service for original owners of boards over 3 years old, even for issues outside the limited lifetime warranty. It’s not part of the warranty but reflects our commitment to long‑term rider support.

🛠 What We Offer

  • Free Evaluation: We’ll inspect your board and diagnose the issue at no charge.

  • Free Minor Repairs: If it’s quick to fix, we’ll handle it—you cover shipping.

  • Discounted Major Repairs: For more serious damage, we offer fair pricing.

  • Replacement Discount: If repair isn’t possible, you can buy a new board at up to 50 % off our lowest advertised price, plus shipping.

Eligibility:

  • Applies only to original owners (please provide order confirmation or serial number).

  • Requests must be made directly through Hydrus.

  • Not available for commercial-use products or second-hand purchases.

📦 Shipping Policy

🚚 Processing & Delivery Times

  • Most orders ship within 2 business days.

  • Transit times vary depending on location and carrier.

  • Addresses more than 65 miles from a major metro area may take an additional 1–2 days.

💵 Shipping Costs

  • Calculated at checkout to provide the best value from top-rated carriers.

  • Additional charges apply for expedited shipping or for addresses in Alaska, Hawaii or outside the continental U.S.

📦 Damaged Shipments

  • Visible Damage on Arrival? Please refuse the delivery and write “Refused due to damage” on the bill of lading (BOL). Contact us right away so we can help.

  • Hidden Damage Discovered Later? Email us at crew@hydrusboardtech.com within 3 business days of delivery. Claims made after this window may not qualify for shipping reimbursement or repair coverage.

🛠️ Submitting a Warranty or Support Claim

We make it simple:

  1. Take clear photos of the issue and of your board’s serial number (found near the fin box).

  2. Email the photos and a brief explanation to crew@hydrusboardtech.com.

  3. If needed, we’ll coordinate return or repair instructions.

Shipping Responsibility:

  • U.S. customers: We cover return shipping for issues that fall under our limited warranty. If the issue isn’t covered, we’ll let you know the shipping cost before you send it.

  • International and non‑continental U.S. customers: You are responsible for shipping both ways.
