How it's built

Ten summers in,
still drum-tight.

Aggressively-Narrowed Tail

The BreakBeat's signature feature. Tail width is dialed back further than the Cake or Enzo, making the board snap rail-to-rail with less effort. You spin, you redirect, you stay in the wave.

Quad-Fin River Box

Hydrus FCS-compatible quad-fin setup. Configurable for surf style. Fins not generally included; use any FCS-compatible set.

Armalight Composite Construction

Proprietary composite over Fused EPS foam core, with carbon-fiber stringer. River-rock contact resistance that beats fiberglass. Years of season-long use without delam.

The Joyride is by far the best board I have ever owned. I feel completely at ease in the ocean waves or the shallow waters of the mangroves.

The Hydrus Paradise tracks and glides very well for an inflatable paddle board. It's easy to sprint between 5-6 mph on flat water.

This board is extremely stable and handles the water like no other. Payette lake is notorious for its waves and wind.

We love this thing. Half the time we're using it as an inflatable dock at the lake that we can jump off of or just relax on.

Super stiff and stable, tracks really well and has more maneuverability than I'd have expected for its size. The material and build looks bombproof.

Quick Answers

Common Questions About This Board.

The Cake is balance, the BreakBeat is quick-turn priority. The BreakBeat snaps faster but is slightly slower top-end than the Cake. If you want max maneuverability, BreakBeat. If you want all-around versatility, Cake.
The Enzo is the fastest in the line with the most tail drive. The BreakBeat trades some of that top-end for tighter turns. If you've been getting flushed off waves on a turny board, the BreakBeat keeps you in. If you've been losing the wave because you can't accelerate, the Enzo's tail drive helps more.
Fins are not generally included. FCS-compatible quad-fin river box system. Use any FCS-compatible fin set.
