Built for How You Paddle.
The Hydrus Paradise X is the performance touring iSUP. 13 foot 3 inch by 28.5 inch, Armalight Air construction, narrower and faster than the standard Paradise. Built for paddlers who want maximum glide and efficiency over long distances.
Where it sits in the lineup: Paradise (12'6 by 30 inch) is the all-around touring board. Paradise X trades 1.5 inches of width and 9 inches of length for noticeably more speed and reduced drag. The narrower deck rewards paddlers who can handle it; the longer waterline carries pace through chop and current that shorter boards lose to.
Honest fit: not a beginner board. The 28.5 inch width sits at the edge of intermediate territory. If you can comfortably paddle a 30 inch board for an hour, Paradise X is a manageable next step. If you find any narrower board challenging on calm water, the standard Paradise is the right call. For paddlers regularly above 200 lb, the standard Paradise is also more forgiving despite the X being faster.

Their boards. Their water. Their words.
Photos from Hydrus owners across the lineup. Their boards. Their words. Their water.

The Hydrus Paradise tracks and glides very well for an inflatable paddle board. It's easy to sprint between 5-6 mph on flat water.

It's fast, and surprisingly stable once I got used to the narrower profile. The quality has been fantastic.

I message the company and received a phone call from Jason (the man himself) a few hours later.

I upgraded to this board from an Atoll 11'. This board tracks really well and feels firm and stable underfoot.

We discussed other options including the JoyRide, but based on my input and background Jason recommended the Paradise and I could not be happier.

The Paradise is so fast and fun but still stable. I'm a beginner and had no issues standing up and staying on.

The Joyride is by far the best board I have ever owned. I feel completely at ease in the ocean waves or the shallow waters of the mangroves.

This board is extremely stable and handles the water like no other. Payette lake is notorious for its waves and wind.
